Cancellation Policy

We understand that plans change. This policy outlines our cancellation and rescheduling terms for different services. All cancellations must be submitted in writing via email.
Event Planning Services
Deposits
All deposits are non-refundable. Deposits secure your date and compensate for turning away other potential clients.
Cancellation Timeline
- More than 6 months before event: Deposit forfeited, remaining payments refunded
- 3-6 months before event: 50% of total contract value due
- 1-3 months before event: 75% of total contract value due
- Less than 1 month before event: 100% of total contract value due
Rescheduling
One date change is permitted without penalty if made more than 90 days before the original event date, subject to availability. Additional changes or changes made within 90 days may incur a $250 rescheduling fee.
Cleaning Services
Regular Cleaning Services
- 24+ hours notice: No cancellation fee, full refund or reschedule
- Less than 24 hours notice: 50% cancellation fee
- Same-day cancellation or no-show: 100% of service fee
Vacation Rental Turnovers
We understand vacation rental bookings can change. Cancellations made more than 48 hours before scheduled service incur no fee. Cancellations within 48 hours are subject to a 50% fee. Same-day cancellations are charged in full.
Recurring Service Contracts
Recurring service agreements require 30 days written notice for cancellation. Early termination of contracts may result in forfeiture of any promotional discounts received.
Concierge Services
Hourly Services
Cancellations made more than 24 hours in advance receive a full refund. Cancellations within 24 hours are subject to a 2-hour minimum charge.
Monthly Retainers
Monthly retainers require 30 days notice for cancellation. Unused hours from the current month will be forfeited upon cancellation. Retainers are billed on the 1st of each month and are non-refundable once the billing cycle begins.
Weather and Emergency Situations
In cases of severe weather, natural disasters, or other emergencies that make service delivery unsafe or impossible, we will work with you to reschedule at no additional charge. This includes hurricanes, tropical storms, and other force majeure events.
Our Cancellation Rights
We reserve the right to cancel services if payment is not received according to the agreed schedule, if access to the venue or property is not provided, or if we determine that continuing service would be unsafe or inappropriate. In such cases, you will be notified immediately and any payments for undelivered services will be refunded.
How to Cancel
All cancellations must be submitted in writing via email to info@blackdoveeventplanning.com. Cancellations are effective upon our written confirmation. Phone cancellations are not accepted.
